Curriculum alignment and learning goals

Dynamic Languages supports core goals found in language programmes around the world:

Speaking confidence and oral communication

Speech recognition lets learners practise with real people in realistic scenarios, in VR or in the web app. Whether the class explores in headsets or together on the classroom screen, the shared experience reliably produces richer, more enthusiastic discussion.

Intercultural competence

Learners don't just read about culture; they stand inside it. They witness landmarks, festivals, nature and daily life in high-resolution 360° videos, in a headset or in any web browser, and experience real moments in time from around the world.

Language in authentic context

Levelled narration (CEFR A1–C2, JLPT N5–N2 etc), keywords and comprehension questions embed vocabulary and listening skills naturally, tying words and phrases to the places and people they are exploring, in VR or on screen.

Flexible use

Short Trips work as topic starters. Longer experiences support structured skill-building. Transcripts, worksheets and Recall Quizzes in the web app extend learning into homework and cover lessons.

Curriculum-aligned topics include:

  • Personal identity, family and relationships
  • Daily life and routines
  • Hobbies and leisure
  • Food and drink
  • Home, town and local area
  • Travel, holidays and tourism
  • Customs and festivals
  • Health and lifestyle
  • Media and technology
  • Environment and global issues
  • Cultural heritage and traditions
  • Social issues and community life

No headset? No problem

Students can take the same 360 Trips, Lessons and Conversations in a web browser on school devices. That means:

  • one-device classrooms and BYOD groups can start this week
  • homework and cover lessons don't depend on the VR trolley
  • you can mix Quest stations with laptop stations in the same period

What educators say

Frank Bergdoll, teacher of Advanced Digital Technology

"I'm SUPER impressed with Dynamic Languages Japanese. The combination of VR and Language skills is incredible.

It's organized in a way that makes sense for the learner – in a way that takes advantage of what we know about how people learn.

Even after ONE lesson, I felt connected to the teachers and the environment. The lessons are really, really fantastic. This is one of the BEST uses of VR in Education that I've seen."

Frank Bergdoll, 25 years of teaching experience in Advanced Digital Technology
